EDINBURGH, Ind. — At its Monday, September 28 meeting, the Edinburgh Town Council took formal action to prepare for the completion of the Timbergate subdivision.
The council approved the primary plat and associated performance and maintenance bonds for Timbergate Section 5, the residential neighborhood's final sector.
A building official presented the update, noting that water line installations have passed inspection and are covered under a maintenance bond.
Performance bonds were accepted for remaining infrastructure items, including erosion control and road paving. Town Attorney Dustin Huddleston advised that final signatures remain contingent on the utility easements being formally recorded to guarantee municipal utility access.
Town officials reaffirmed that they will not issue certificates of occupancy for new homes until all essential utilities, particularly sanitary sewer systems, are fully connected and operational.
