COLUMBUS, Ind. -Bartholomew County is included in an area identified by the National Weather Service(NWS) as having at least a 15% chance of rapid-onset flash flooding this afternoon through tonight on Monday, June 8.
While that percentage may seem low, it is significant enough to warrant close monitoring, especially near locations that received heavy rainfall over the weekend.
Showers will increase in coverage throughout the day, with the potential for periods of heavy rainfall this evening and overnight. Localized flash flooding, water-covered roads, and flooding in low-lying or poor-drainage areas will be possible if heavier rain develops over the county.
